Verilaw
to Work with Lancaster County, PA on Efiling Project
October
27, 2000 (Paoli, PA) - Verilaw Technologies, Inc. is pleased
to announce that it will soon begin an electronic filing pilot
project with the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Lancaster
County.
The
Lancaster County project will allow attorneys to electronically
file documents with the court, and to electronically deliver
those documents to other lawyers in the case. The Verilaw
efiling system will also integrate with the court's case management
system, so that data associated with electronically filed
documents will automatically populate the court's internal
databases. Integration between the Verilaw efiling system
and the court's document imaging system is also planned. The
pilot will begin with selected cases and/or filing attorneys.
"We
are thrilled to be working with the court in Lancaster County,"
said Brett M. Amdur, Verilaw's President and CEO. "Court officials
and technical staff in Lancaster have done a great job of
educating themselves about the issues associated with electronic
filing. We're honored that their efforts led them to choose
Verilaw."
The
Lancaster County efiling project is currently in the planning
stages. Further announcements will be made as the project
progresses.
