Selected for Electronic Filing Pilot in Delaware County, PA
August
24, 2000 (Paoli, PA) - Verilaw Technologies, Inc. is pleased
to announce that it has been selected to design, implement,
and maintain an electronic filing pilot program for the Delaware
County, PA Court of Common Pleas.
The
pilot system will allow attorneys to electronically file all
documents associated with Delaware County mortgage foreclosures.
The system will streamline the creation and distribution of
mortage foreclosure forms, will allow lawyers to easily transmit
electronic documents to the court, and will include features
that will allow the court to track mortgage foreclosures internally.
Both lawyers and court personnel will use the system to dramatically
improve the efficiency with which mortgage foreclosure takes
place.
"We
are extremely excited about this project," said Brett M. Amdur,
Verilaw's President. "The Court officials in Delaware County
deserve a lot of credit for taking the steps to turn their
interest in electronic filing into a reality. Verilaw is also
very much looking forward to bringing the benefits of electronic
filing to the mortgage foreclosure process."
The
project is currently in the planning stages. Questions about
the project can be emailed to Verilaw at solutions@verilaw.com
